An open letter to Josh Norman,
Hello Josh! Good to hear that you are enjoying your stay on the fabulous Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
As for being holed up in a "bar," please tell my wonderful editors that I was using "bar" as a euphemism for the laboratory, where I am busily working the mass spectrometer to find what devilish chemicals are waiting to poison us all. As part of that water analysis, I am personally testing some of the water with my own "spectrometer." That involves drinking some of those samples, which, strangely, seem to have been tainted with some chemical formulation resembling budweiser. I am a bit worried about this, so I will do an additional round of tests.
Good luck on your rewrite, and I'll let you know what this phase of analysis yields. If anyone needs me, the lab is called "Heroes Sports Bar & Grille" on Dauphin St. Interesting name for a place of science.
My lovely lab assistant, Heather, will be helping me with all further analysis and will be fielding any calls from the media.
Thank you for your time,
MKeller

Mike and Josh, thank you sooo much for all of your posts. I have been checking in here every couple of days. The photos are facinating and I still am in denial about how devastating this is. I can't even imagine how horrific it all is. My mind cannnot wrap itself around the enormity of it all. Thanks for giving me such insight again. You are in prayer.

Love,
Reyna

I can see you all are able to be a little more light-hearted again down there; good to hear!

I was wondering if you have heard anything if much at all about troops from other countries; Canada sent over 300 and they arrived near Biloxi today. They are from my home town and we are reading about what theya re doing every day here, but do not know if their presence is being felt by those down there. Check my blog for more details.

Thank you for the pictures. I am leaving in about an hour, and we'll be arriving at the Gulfcoast tomorrow with a trailer load of cleaning supplies. Not sure what we will be doing when we get there and check in. Probably going to Gulfport. I'm a bit apprehensive, but joyful too. An odd mix.

I heard something on Air America that said that FEMA has not set up in Biloxi, Mississippi. Is there any evidence that FEMA is on the ground in that area with an office and staff?
Thank you for your work and information.

Mike and Josh,
Thanks for bringin pictures of this devastating incident. I have been following the covering of the disaster through TV Azteca(mexican channel) Which you probably seen over there. Mexico has provided much help for this incident, in fact I heard that the Mexican troops are over there too.
Good luck and God bless!!!!

Estas fotos son más que elocuentes,
no hay palabras para expresar el dolor y la angustia que me causa al ver tanta devastación.
Deseo de todo corazón que puedan recuperar, en algún momento la alegria de volver a vivir.
