This is the end result of too many fireworks and bottles of booze on the only night of the year where it is not only excusable to get stupid, but encouraged. The lady to my right asked not to be identified for fear it might incriminate her chihuahua and the gentleman in the gray t-shirt, well, I have no idea who that vagrant is. I think he's german though. Here's to a new year. and thanks again for reading.

A lovely backdrop for that group picture!! It looks like a good time had by all. That unnamed lady looks familiar to me, ask her if she knew Jason Bays.

I've been reading your blog for months. At last, an authentic "Stormin' Norman." RE: The unnamed lady; I too think her familiar but can't remember her name. Ain't that a kick in the head. Call me irresponsible but I have high hopes of remembering who she is.

Josh, I just read your article in the Herald about the kids that were all killed in the horrible accident! Brought back so many bad memories, my nephew also went to Perk and was killed on his way home to Biloxi in 2002 on highway 59. I feel for the family and friends of those kids. So Sad.

Well driving is just really dangerous...

And frankly it annoys me that I (a fairly safe driver) am always exposed to losers who cant drive (many of them young kids or very old people). It is one thing to die in a horrible crash at age 18, but quite another to take others with you.

Where have you guys been for the last 2 weeks? I hope you haven't called it quits on this blog? This blog is the best one the MS Coast will ever have about Katrina. Don't let us down now guys, Josh and Mike, OK? Just get the SunHerald to put out more exposure for it if necessary. This is an important cause we are fighting for here...exposure to the tragedy that Katrina wrought upon MS, and the nonexistant coverage of the same by the major media sources.
Here is a link to a friend's website regarding a video he produced about Katrina and the MS Coast:
http://www.videokatrina.com/ Please see that more exposure to the MS Coastal damage from Katrina gets out to the general public, many of whom still believe that NOLA is the only place that suffered Katrina damage. I am out of state (although a MS resident), and I travel extensively for my work. I still consistently speak with people who don't have any idea that MS had any damage at all. This aggravates me. We need your help guys. Stay with us.
